We’ve rolled out several new platform features that enable efficient, nuanced management of large portfolios of sites within an organization where there are multiple different user types. With these updates, cross-functional teams can easily access certain portfolios, or groups of sites/projects, that are relevant to them, and admins can set user permissions, ensuring seamless coordination and control.
A breakdown of the new features:
User Role Differentiation
VECKTA now has 4 distinct user types: administrators, managers, guest editors, and guest viewers. This segmentation allows for tailored access and permissions, ensuring that users can only perform actions relevant to their roles. For instance, admins have full access to all functionalities, while guest users have limited permissions based on the portfolios they are invited to.
Portfolio Management
Users can create and manage portfolios, or a group of sites, based on specific criteria. The process involves a straightforward four-step creation flow, allowing users to name the portfolio, add descriptions, apply filters, and invite other users with designated permissions. This feature enhances organization and accessibility, making it easier for users to manage related sites collectively.
Enhanced Visibility and Tracking
The new homepage provides insights into recently viewed portfolios and sites, which helps users keep track of their activities. This feature is particularly beneficial for users managing multiple portfolios, as it streamlines navigation and reduces the time spent searching for specific items.
Access Management
The access management tab allows admins to invite new users and directly assign them roles. This simplifies the onboarding process for new team members and ensures that users have the appropriate permissions from the outset.
Improved User Experience
The interface has been designed to be intuitive with collapsible sections for filters and user invitations. This enhances usability, allowing users to navigate the application more efficiently.
Notifications and Communication
Users receive notifications when they are added to portfolios, which enhances communication and ensures that they are aware of their permissions and responsibilities.
Overall, these enhancements provide corporate onsite energy buyers with the tools to collaborate cross-functionally, organize projects at any stage, and access relevant information quickly and easily.
