Net Metering 3.0

The changes to the California net metering regime, known as NEM 3.0, become standard next month.  Understanding those changes will have an impact on the economics of an onsite energy system.

Book Your NEM Consultation today to learn how your business could potentially save money on your energy bills by taking advantage of NEM 3.0.

What is Net Metering?

Net metering is a billing mechanism that allows businesses with solar or other renewable energy systems to sell excess energy back to the grid. In California, commercial net metering allows businesses to receive credit on their utility bills for the excess renewable energy that their systems generate. This excess energy is typically measured in kilowatt-hours (kWh), and the credits can be applied to offset the cost of the business’s future energy usage.
